Sporting Clube de Portugal, commonly known as Sporting CP or Sporting FC, was founded on July 1, 1906, in Lisbon, Portugal. It is one of Portugals Big Three football clubs, alongside Benfica and Porto. Sporting has won multiple Primeira Liga titles, domestic cups, and the 1963–64 European Cup Winners Cup. The club is renowned for its youth academy, which produced legends like Cristiano Ronaldo and Luís Figo. Sporting's home ground is Estádio José Alvalade. Sporting became the first Portuguese club to win a European trophy, lifting the 1963–64 European Cup Winners Cup after defeating MTK Budapest. They have also participated in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League multiple times.
